Movie Review: Ratatoille

I just had to review this movie I loved it so much.

It's such a relief to finally see a good movie. It's been so long. So long. Pixar does it again: Heartwarming, funny, innocent, clever, emotionally healthy (but not in your face) with good life lessons for the kiddies, and most importantly - realistic. Well, not that a rat could really cook in our world, but within the Ratatouille world, the movie was realistic. I loved it. I sat there at the end of the movie blissfully relaxed and genuinely satisfied, the way you feel after eating a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. God bless Pixar.

My favorite Character was of course Anton Ego, the "bad" guy.  Don't ask why I identified with him.  I guess it's because he really wasn't all that bad.  I really like it when I identify with the bad guy. (I liked the bad guy in Meet the Robinsons too.)  He also said my favorite line, "I don't like food.  I love it.  If I don't like it, I don't... swallow."
OOOOO!  What a comeback!  But the greatest moment in the movie was of course when he tasted the Ratatoille. Oh I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

This has got to be the best children's movie in a decade.  Hands down.  Although now that I'm reminded of it, Meet the Robinsons was good too.  I'll have to review that one next.
